Man charged with murder

Twenty-year-old trader Adonii Hayles, otherwise known as 'Bobo' of Penn Avenue, Kingston 11, has been charged with murder following the stabbing death of a man in the community on Monday.

Dead is 35-year-old mason Richard Walker, otherwise known as 'Richie'. Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that at 8:20 p.m., an argument between Hayles and Walker escalated into a fight which was later parted by Hayles' family member. It is further reported that Hayles left the location and then returned with a knife, which was used to inflict several stab wounds to Walker's body. Following the stabbing, Walker was assisted to hospital, where he died while undergoing treatment.

Hayles turned himself in to the police in the company of a family member later the same day and was subsequently charged a day later. His court date is being finalised.
