After a rocky start to their Jamaica Premier League return - before Hurricane Melissa - Treasure Beach FC's coach Kemar Ricketts has steadied the ship.

The St Elizabeth team suffered just one defeat in their last five matches, this after a four-match losing streak.

Although 12th in the table, just one place above the relegation zone, Treasure Beach are five points clear of 13th-placed Harbour View and two adrift Molynes United FC and Dunbeholden FC in 11th and 10th, respectively.

Although still feeling the effects of the Category 5 storm, Ricketts said they have worked hard behind the scenes to get the team back on track.

"It is still a work in progress. We are still recovering from Melissa (hurricane). You would really have to be on the ground to understand what is happening and some of the struggles we have faced, but we try to keep them (troubles) indoors and solve them in-house," Ricketts said.

"When we went on that four-game losing streak we had a lot of issues. We had some games where we only had 14 players on the bench. So we have been through our fair share of struggles and we are looking to get some consistency going forward," Ricketts said.

On Wednesday, Treasure Beach held Tivoli Gardens FC to a 0-0 draw at Edward Seaga Sports Complex, and Ricketts said it was another big point as they stretched their unbeaten run to three matches.

"I think they are doing well. The last three results have been really good . We just want them to keep focused and look ahead," he said.

"For us, every game is a final, and that is how we are looking at it now. We are not even going to think about the position right now. We have clear objectives set out. We aspire to stay in the league and we are fighting to stay in the league.

"So we are in the business of collecting points and we would have collected one more here on the road, away from home. So for us, that is a plus," he stated.

Despite the strides the team has made over the last two weeks, Ricketts insists they have a lot more work to do.

"The last couple of weeks were kind of like a preseason, because of what happened through Hurricane Melissa. So we are looking to work every day and improve the squad as much as possible. Everybody can improve in some areas, even myself and my staff," he said.
