World Youth 400 metre champion Christopher Taylor says he feels no pressure to win the event at this year's International Association of Athletics Federations World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

"I have two years of World Juniors, so this year, I'm just going out there to focus on the experience that I can get from it and go the following year to do what I can do best," Taylor told STAR Sports at Wednesday's launch of the Digicel Grand Prix Athletics Championships at the Terra Nova Hotel in Kingston.

Taylor, the fastest youth in the world last year following his win in Cali, Colombia, will compete at tomorrow's McKenley/Wint meet on the newly-laid synthetic track at Calabar.

"It's our own track now and we can do extraordinary things on it," the 16-year-old said.

The meet will be used to prepare for the Inter-Secondary Schools Sports Association GraceKennedy Boys & Girls' Athletics Championships.

"This Champs coming up will be an extraordinary one, and I'm just hoping I will stay healthy for the rest of the season, and at champs, I will do my best," he said.
