Laughter, live music and unforgettable performances have been promised for this Independence season as ‘Under the Stars – Jokes N Jammins’ is set to bring together some of Jamaica and the Caribbean’s biggest entertainers for a night of pure entertainment on August 7.

The highly anticipated event will unfold at the brand new Totally Delicious Ice Cream Park in Old Harbour, where patrons can expect a celebration filled with comedy, reggae, culture and the unmistakable spirit of Jamaica.

Headlining the comedy showcase are internationally acclaimed comedian Majah Hype, Jamaican comedy favourite Fancy Cat, and hilarious performer Kathy Grant, who are expected to deliver a night of side-splitting humour and memorable moments.

The musical line-up promises an equally exciting experience, featuring soulful performances from Lenn Hammond, reggae legend Eric Donaldson, and chart-topping reggae star Christopher Martin, who will perform alongside his live band.

Martin will close out the evening with a high-energy performance featuring a selection of his biggest hits, giving fans the opportunity to experience the catalogue that has made him one of Jamaica’s most celebrated contemporary entertainers.

According to show producer and host Sharon Gordon, the event was created to provide Jamaicans with an Independence celebration that blends entertainment, culture and togetherness.

“By bringing together some of the country’s finest comedians and legendary musical performers on one stage, we’re creating an experience that celebrates our culture, our humour and our music,” Gordon said.

She added that the aim is to leave patrons with lasting memories after a night of quality entertainment.

“We want every patron to leave with unforgettable memories after a night filled with laughter, great performances and authentic Jamaican entertainment,” Gordon said.
