Guyana midfielder Neron Barrows netted the lone goal as an impressive Waterhouse registered back-to-back wins under Argentine coach Javier Ainstein, beating Mount Pleasant Football Academy 1-0 at Drax Hall in Sunday's feature Jamaica Premier League (JPL) football match.

The 20th-round win pushed Waterhouse up the table into eighth on 24 points, three adrift Mount Pleasant in fourth, who are 15 points behind leaders Montego Bay United. Mount Pleasant have only played 15 JPL games due to their participation in the Concacaf Caribbean Championship, which they won.

At Ferdi Neita Park, Racing United and Portmore United played out a 1-1 draw in the Portmore derby.

Nickyle Ellis handed Racing the lead after 32 minutes, but Tyrique Ximines secured a point with a shot from outside the area in the 64th minute.

Racing are second on 35 points and Portmore third, two points behind.

LOST OPPORTUNITY

Portmore's assistant coach, Ricardo Smith, said it was another opportunity lost to overtake their rivals in the table.

"It's a very good chance that we had (to overtake Racing) and it is not the first (time). The week before we also had another chance to pass them and we didn't. We just have to keep on working," he said.

Racing's coach Anthony Patrick lamented conceding a 'soft' equaliser.

"We played a disciplined game. Portmore didn't create any clear cut chance. It's just unfortunate we conceded a soft goal like that. It's just tough luck," he commented.

At Jarrett Park, Montego Bay United turned back Chapelton Maroons 2-0, with goals from Nashordo Gibbs (third) and Jourdain Fletcher (77th). MoBay United (42 points) are seven points clear at the top. Chapelton are sixth with 25 points.

DUNBEHOLDEN REBOUND

Dunbeholden rebounded from their loss to Cavalier with a 4-2 win over Harbour View. Damion Binns (35th, 66th) led the charge with a brace, while Odayne Pennicooke (15th) and Fabian McCarthy (25th) got the other goals for Dunbeholden.

Dunbeholden, with three games in hand, are 10th with 22 points, while Harbour View are second from bottom on 15 after 18 matches.

At St Elizabeth Technical High School, Jamone Shepherd put visiting Arnett Gardens ahead with a 24th-minute goal, but Treasure Beach FC's Nicholas Lawrence ensured the spoils were shared with a goal five minutes before half time.

Arnett, with two games in hand, are ninth on 23 points, while Treasure Beach, with three outstanding games, are in 12th place on 19 points.

Molynes United and Spanish Town Police also played to a 1-1 draw, in the opening game of a double-header at Stadium East. Marlon Pennicooke gave Molynes United a 12th-minute lead, but Devontay Ricketts scored on the stroke of half time to earn his team a rare point.

Molynes are 11th on 22 points. Spanish Town Police are at the bottom on nine points.

LATE RALLY

In the day's late game, visitors Tivoli Gardens registered a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over defending champions Cavalier, in the feature match at Stadium East.

All the goals were scored in the latter part of the game, with KShaine Gordon giving Cavalier the lead at the 82nd minute.

But Nichalia Fuller quickly wiped out the deficit with an 84th-minute equaliser, before Dayne Ewen (90+3) secured an injury-time winner.

Cavalier, with three outstanding games, remained fifth on 26 points, while Tivoli, with one game in hand, moved up to sixth, also on 26 points.
