Mico among early qualifiers for Intercol football semi-finals
DEFENDING champions Mico University College, the University of West Indies, and the College of Agriculture Science and Education (CASE) are all through to the semi-finals of the Intercollegiate Greg Garrel Knockout Football competition following quarter-final wins on Wednesday.
At Breezy Castle, Mico, with second-half goals from Shane Franklin, Aveano Mullings and Delroy Johnson, scored a comefrom-behind 3-1 win over the International University of the Caribbean.
At Mona, UWI stopped Shortwood Teachers' College 2-0, while home team CASE got by Moneague Community College 1-0.
Last year's beaten finalist G.C. Foster College will play Sam Sharpe Teachers' College in the other quarter-final tomorrow.The semi-finals will be played next Wednesday.
