Teen shot in Spanish Town succumbs to injuries

Detectives assigned to the St Catherine North division have upgraded a shooting case to murder after a teenager succumbed to gunshot injuries he sustained ten days earlier.

Dead is 18-year-old Orion Rogers of Pittsburgh Road, Homestead, Spanish Town, St Catherine.

Reports are that about 11:00 p.m. on November 10, 2025, Rogers was seated inside his yard in the company of another man when explosions were heard and the man was seen running from the premises with a gun in his hand.

Rogers was found holding his stomach, which was bleeding. He was assisted to the Spanish Town Hospital where he was admitted. He died about 2:20 a.m. on November 20, 2025.

The Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
