Dancehall star Stalk Ashley promised fans that she will rock their worlds this year as she plans to delve more into rock-infused music.

The artiste, who wears the self-proclaimed 'Bratt' title, both in her fashion and musical style, said that, for 2026, she'll be transitioning to a 'Rockstar Bratt'. This was evident with her recent rockstar-like performance at Angola Festival.

"Yea that was the vibe - 'Rockstar Bratt'. That's my vibe, that's my aura - live music, the acoustic vibe and the big hair and stuff all tied in," said Stalk Ashley, who was dressed in a crop top and coat with baggy jeans shorts, styled with a dazzling cowgirl belt decorated with chains and boots. In sharing her reason for tapping more into this side of her talent, the artiste said she knows she has more to deliver than her local music.

"I've always loved all kinda music, all the different genres. I like to immerse myself in different musical styles. I also like to show my ability to do more than what is expected or what is normal for Jamaican/local artistes. So, whenever I get an opportunity to perform with a band, I really appreciate it and I make the most of it," she said. The artiste said there's much to come for 2026.

"This year, I plan to release the most. I have a lot a different types of music, it's a lot and I'm just really excited to share that with everybody. I've been working in the background a lot and 2025 was one a those years where I locked in and tried to focus on what's next. And we're here in 2026 and it's time to show up and show what I've been working on and I'm just pretty excited," she said chuckling.

As an artiste who is often on the public's radar, Stalk Ashley said all the attention garnered, whether good or bad, does not faze her.

"It literally boosts the engagement. I can't say anything about it because it helped, even if it's negative," she said. The artiste, who recently faced damning accusations by an up-and-coming artiste, said she refocused her energy on work.

"A just work mi a use and kill dem man. This year is all work, yuh nuh. And it's all different kinda a music and flow - there's something in there for everybody," she said, while revealing that an EP, an album and a tour are all on the horizon.

"We're exploring different markets too. There will be a few collabs from different international artistes, but it's more of 'Stalky'. I'm more single-focused and me-focused this year ... mi ready man," she said, while promising to still maintain the dancehall aspect of her music.
